Notes: The museum opened in 1945 as the Fort Worth Children's Museum and moved to its current location in 1954. In 1968, the museum adopted its current name. Attractions inside include a planetarium and an IMAX theater. The museum moved into this new building, designed by architects Legorreta + Legorreta with Gideon Toal, at the same site in 2009.
